malcolm & rabastan
The man had been standing as he was for several minutes, his body steady and unmoving as a rock. His eyes, however, kept darting toward the face of his clock, his gaze darkening with every minute that passed by, for every one of it took a toll on his serenity. He disliked to be made a waiter.
When the party finally arrived, Rabastan did not deign him with a look.
"Late", he said, his body standing still.

Re: malcolm & rabastan
Malcolm was having one hell of an evening.
First, his elf had let him fall asleep on the sofa for four hours when she knew he had places to be that night, and when he'd finally woken up, she was nowhere to be found. Already running late, Malcolm had been forced to waste even more time going all the way upstairs to hunt Dolly down, because how else was he supposed to find his nice shoes without her help? So really, his tardiness was all her fault, not his, and in his opinion Rabastan was being dreadfully unfair, making judgments about him when he didn't even know the full situation.
Trying to repair the damage, Malcolm cast the other man a casual smile. “Sorry about that, mate – got caught up with some late work at the office. Must have lost track of the time.”
Somehow, Malcolm could not quite bring himself to throw Dolly off the broom.
“Anyway, I'm here now – shall we get going?”

Re: malcolm & rabastan
Rabastan did not deign to respond to the inane excuse he had just been made to hear, nor did he let himself make a show of his disapproval. The additional anger that it had awakened within him would better be saved for a moment where he could derive a better pleasure from acting out on it, a moment that would most hopefully come to him soon.
And if it did not, he would make it so.
Without turning back to the other, the man nodded and started walking toward their destination.
"Come", he said.
