Romeo looked up from his shirt. He had been checking out a stain that looked suspiciously like the colour of the coffee a stupid Gryffindor had been holding when he had bumped into the sensational Ravenclaw.

"Excuse me but fuck you. I was checking out the damage the Lions did to my shirt this time.

We should fucking eliminate that house as an option for Sorting altogether."

Barty couldn't help it - he laughed loudly as that pompous little prick prattled on about whatever had gotten his knickers in a twist. Oh, the utterly dignified indignation in his voice, the use of the word 'Lions', the fact that he was speaking to a Gryffindor right now without even realizing. It was hilarious.

"Sorry to inform you, but admitting to sniffing your own body odor would have been less embarrassing than what you just said"

Romeo looked at the other student.

"Nope. Seems about right."

He turned his attention back to his shirt which he finally tapped with his wand. The stain disappeared in a whisper of words.

He is either 100% serious or 100% joking. Its nearly impossible to tell with a smile so simple.

"By the way, who are you? Its as if the Professor D had it on with an average white hag and decided the product, that being you, was cognitively apt enough to go to a mad magic school in the countryside. I think its the ears."

He gave him his brightest smile.

Romeo liked this one. He was actually living up to what Lions were supposed to be, brave enough to say what they fucking meant. Well, in a way. They were obviously joking about the dick parts.

"Barty." Romeo took a moment to decide if that was a dumb name or not. Apparently he checked out because Romeo did not comment.

"Want to come with me to the Quidditch Pitch? I am going to watch the Hufflepuff 'practice'." He used air quotes and looked as though he found the idea laughable. "I have a pocket full of cauldron cakes for the occasion. I like them, we don't have those in Korea. The closest snack we have is dragon bread. It sounds better in Korean."

A slight frown flickered over his face before the boy simmered down into a more neutral expression. This was a new development, one that he had no idea if he had ever encouraged, and as such, he wasn't quite sure what to do with it. Truly, it was a little extreme to stand up from his seat just to go along with some random freak person. After all, he might decide to poison him and bury his body underneath the pitch.

Then again, he was tempted with the three things he ever enjoyed: sweets, Quidditch, and making fun of people.

"I'm in it for the cauldron cakes", he said, standing up nevertheless.

"Brilliant." Romeo said, clearly pleased that this mission was no longer solo.

"So, tell me about Hogwarts."

It was his first year here at Hogwarts even though they were in their third year. He transferred after finding one too many errors in the school's curriculum. Here he at least had the option to ignore the book completely.

To that, Barty simply gave a raised eyebrow.

"Do I look like an expert on castle architecture to you? Or maybe you were asking about whatever gossip is flowing around at the moment? Politics around whatever education they're testing on us now? Hidden spots? Do you want me to recite the entire bleeding rulebook to you? Dance and sing the school song? Maybe grow a beard for good measure?"

"Alright then. You mentioned secret passages? My old school never had those. Then again my school wasn't in a fucking castle."

Romeo had to admit it was fucking cool to have classes in a castle. A bit medieval but the atmosphere forgave the lack of modernism. He could respect British tradition.

The other boy's compliment gave him pause, and a brief frown flickered over his face as he contemplated whether or not he was being mocked. After a moment had passed and he still had not quite been able to make up his mind on the matter he decided to simply let it slide. For now.

"There are a few. I guess they can come in handy if you wanna get involved in things here", he shrugged, "The whole castle thing loses its novelty after the tenth time the stairs try to kill you"
